TEXAS RESEARCH EXCHANGE FEST 2009Texas A&M University, College StationThe Texas Research Exchange Fest 2009 was held September 7th - 8th at the Hilton located near the campus of Texas A&M University in College Station. The purpose of this meeting was to have various representatives from federal agencies discuss the details of their different research programs and to encourage collaborations among the researchers at Texas Universities and Industry. The event included poster sessions and collaborative discussions in addition to the informational sessions featuring the representatives from different federal agencies. The event is organized to focus on five major areas within computer science: security, software, networks, information, and high performance computing. Representatives from the National Science Foundation, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, U.S. Department of Energy, The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, The National Nuclear Security Administration, and The Air Force Office of Scientific Research gave guest lectures and helped to facilitate discussion.
