EYE-TRACKER TRAINING
We have three eye-trackers (suitable for outdoors work too) that you can borrow for your research through our NSF MRI RESPOND-R grant. We will have training next week on Thursday 6/23 from 2:30 to 4:00 in HRBB 333.

Eye-tracker: The IScan Omniview is a lightweight eye-tracker mounted on spectacle frames and is coupled with a digital recorder unit for outdoor usage. Along with this it also has a tethered mode for real time operation in the lab. Eye-tracking allows researchers to track and record participants' eye movements when they look at objects in front of them. After calibration of the system it provides the binocular point of gaze superimposed over the scene image. It also does automatic parallax correction. The eye-tracker tracks the pupil and corneal reflection to determine point of gaze. The positional difference between the pupil and the corneal reflection changes with pure eye rotation but is relatively constant with minor head movements. This positional difference can be directly related to the subject's point of gaze. Please visit their website http://www.iscaninc.com for more information.

Friday, June 24

BIOMETRIC SENSOR TRAINING
We have a suite of biometric sensors that you can borrow for your research through our NSF MRI RESPOND-R grant. We will have training next week on Friday 6/24 from 2:30 to 4:00 in HRBB 333.

The Biopack wearable sensors are the top of the class in measuring ECG, EMG, GSR, Breathing, Pulse, and Temperature parameters in real time. The Emotiv headset has been getting lots of attention in the media for things like driving toy robots by "thought" but is less reliable, it still could be fun for students.

For further descriptions of the devices and their manufacturers, please visit the CSE Calendar.
